2020 Youth Leadership Program Update
The Executive Board of the FBINAA has decided that with the health and well-being of our youth in mind, the 2020 Youth Leadership Program, June 18-26, will be canceled. Please note that the Chapter slots that were allocated for this year will remain the same for 2021. The Youth Leadership Program is one of our "crown jewel" programs and, while disappointing, the best interest of youth and counselors must come first.
The FBI National Academy Associates, Inc. (FBINAA) hosts a week long training event for high school students at the FBI Academy every summer called the Youth Leadership Program (YLP). To be qualified for this program you must:
- Be 14, 15, or 16 years old at the start date of the program. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THE AGE REQUIREMENT.
- Demonstrate high academic standards and good citizenship.
- The candidate does not have to be related or have a relationship with a National Academy Graduate or FBI-LEEDA member in order to be considered.
This year’s session of the Youth Leadership Program begins June 18, 2020, with arrival at Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., and will conclude on June 26, 2020, with departure from Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C.
The program is open to males and females. Qualifications for the Youth Leadership Program are provided by the FBINAA. Qualified candidates are encouraged to complete the application, including the necessary signatures, and to submit the forms Laura Seiler by the due date of February 14, 2020.
More information can be found on the FBINAA website.
Individuals interested in attending the Youth Leadership Program (YLP) should complete this form and return to Laura at Lseiler@fbileeda.org or mail to:
